Upgraded room ok but not great. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal not much choice starter inadequate restaurant manager disinterested. Spoke to reception staff who made good the situation. Gorgeous spa treatment from Charlene and Sam. Very much recommended....so much so we've booked again! Facilities excellent especially the hot tub. Going home feeling really relaxed. Thanks for a great stay x
Really enjoyed the stay check in was easy room was spacious and well equipped. The idea of biding for upgrades is really good. Overall very satisfying.
A very large hotel with good facilities. Our room (Club Room) was quite small, basic fitting but comfortable. Full Sky TV package was great. Coffee machine and Dyson fan also very nice. Cleanliness was not the best however, with dust visible on most furniture including bathroom. Carpets dusty in corners too. Restaurant food was nice but again it waz not the cleanest with crumbs visible at ends of benches in booth (been there quite a while too). Housekeeping would of lifted my rating to 4 stars. Bar staff had charisma by-pass too.
Lovely room let down by poor lighting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Village pub was relaxed and friendly, with tasty (if expensive) food. Loved the pool and spa.Breakfast had a good selection and was very nice but was self service and organisation was a touch chaotic. For the room price we would've expected service.
Room dully lit and uninspiring; broken wall plaster. Unheated on entry.Village pub fish & Chips "off" at 6.30pm. Preferred drink (Ginger ale - a bar mixer staple!) out of stock.Two meals ordered. One served 8 minutes after the other.Room service invaded our privacy by entering our room at 10.00am uninvited.On the plus side - very comfortable bed and good breakfast. Friendly, helpful front reception staff.
