Great place for walking and if you have dogs, that too. Mimosa cafe is lovely.
Loads of paths to explore the woods, grassed areas for children and dogs to run. Excellent views over the river and cafes and pubs on site for refreshments. Car park charges 50p for one hour.

I've been introduced to Wirral rocks Facebook page. This makes the trio to the woods so much more exciting. There had been a death in the woods shortly before we arrived non-suspicious; police dealt with It well, the children didn't see anything. Well managed.
