I rocked up to this gaff on New year's Eve. Man was hungry, my female counterpart was also hungry but had no clue in what she wanted. So I got the platter for 2. Twas dope. I entered hickory's with a Marxist sensibility and pride in gardening. I left with a leather jacket and a profit margin10/10 would consider buying the sequel on laser disk
I and other family members have tried to get a table at Hickory's a number of times without success. I fell lucky on Saturday and got a table between the lunch rush and the evening guests.The menu is great, my son went for the Go Big or Go Home burger and unsurprisingly he couldn't squeeze in a dessert! It was huge though. My mum enjoyed the Cajun Chicken sandwich and I went for the Triple Hickory's Burger.The staff were great and service was very good too. There was a small issue with my order but the way it was handled by the manager was more than expected. We all had a great experience and will be back.Highly recommended!
Excellent food with excellent service this was are second visit. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to are table. I asked if it was possible to take a look at the smoker used for cooking meat? Not a problem I was shown to the cooking area the chef was really enthusiastic and obviously very proud of the process. We were a family of 11 nothing was to much trouble for the waitress who was very knowledgeable about the different meats and drinks she even went to the trouble of making my wife a strawberry daiquiri that wasnt on the menu. We had a lovely time the children played in the play room picture house the whole experience was excellent cant wait for are next get together a place that is a must to try.
Visited several times now and have tried a few starters favourites being the Popcorn burnt end bites and the buttermilk chicken.The Louisiana hot sauce is exactly what it says.The magic dusted fries are spicy and hot and worth the extra, the pulled pork and pit beans are delicious, pork is tender and smoky, the burgers are meaty, tasty and big.I love that you get a bag of popcorn to snack on before you order.A lovely place to eat, service is always spot on and food is wonderful, if you like BBQ well worth a visit and even if youre not sure youve got to try it.I will be back without doubt.
I went with friends for dinner and the Christmas movie night. We had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere great and the staff were attentive and helpful. They went all out for the movie night too with the veranda set up with huge bean bags, cushions, blankets and hot water bottles. Not that they were needed, it was nice and cosy, but they were a great touch. Great night!
