I have been using Northwood for several years as my first choice of letting agent as a landlord. It has been a fantastic experience and Northwood were always professional.I have since used them to sell the property and again the same professionalism was applied throughout the sale. Would highly recommend.
Charge 50 every 6 months for no reason other than they can. Kept over 600 deposit even though the house was returned in better condition. Rent rose each year and was well above the average for the area. Multiple problems with house during my 2 year lease and not once did they repair these. Damp was left untreated which was the main problem as it was affecting the childrens health. As a person who works nights, I was alarmed to be woken during the day by someone standing in my room because I hadnt heard the front door (and no, I never missed rent or owed them money, confused why they kept turning up to look around every few months...) Finally, to top it off, they want me to pay 25-50 for a reference for any new landlord that may require one. Absolute joke of a company. I stay well clear and look elsewhere.
This was our first rented property with Northwood Wirral (Heswall). We rented for several years at the same property and were VERY happy but unfortunatly the property became too small for us when we had our little boy as you can imagine with what comes with a child !!. All staff at Northwood wirral(heswall) were fantastic and very very helpful especially making sure our end of contract on the property went smoothly as we were lucky enough to buy our first house! We would especially like to thank Deryck, Joanna, lillian,Helen ,Jillian,Nicky,janeWe would highly recommend Northwood wirral(heswall) nothing was a problem to them and any problems with the property which was rare.... ! I was recently moved from the USA. I didn't appreciate Northwood not give me a notice of a particular switch that turns the boiler or heat on and off when not in use or when I'm on a long extended stay for work. Therefore when I found out that my bill was in the high 700 pound range I almost lost by balance. How can a management company not explain the switches kept in a cupboard. They also charged my over 80 pounds to steam clean the stove when it was not necessary to do so. I was an extremely clean tenant and did not need to pay that. It does not cost that amount of many to clean the stove. that was wrong for them to charge that and scam me into doing that. The location was very good though.
We've rented a house for 3.5 years. Rent has gone up every year. Also had to pay administration fee every year to renew contract. Excessive inspections (every 3 months). We've not been told that cooker meant to be cleaned professionally before we moved out and they've knocked 90 of our deposit for it. Send them emails regarding this still no answer. I wouldn't recommend this company. I've rented from better.
