Having had to have a tooth out on the NHS due to it cracking I was left with a gap in my upper teeth. Admittedly it was only visible when I laughed, but I felt the only option for me was a dental implant. Liam was recommended to me and off I went. I am a very nervous patient having had some bad experiences with the NHS but all the staff at McGrath Dental were extremely helpful, understanding and put me at ease. The procedure was fully explained to me and a full examination, X-rays and some other dental work was carried out prior to the implant appointment. I needed a sinus lift and bone graft in conjunction with the dental implant but again this was fully explained to me. My treatment is not yet complete as the dental implant needs to fuse with my jawbone over the next few months before the crown can be put on but I am extremely pleased with my treatment so far. I opted for a sedative which was great for me. I dont remember a thing! The next day there was no pain at all just a bit of tenderness. I had minimal swelling which went completely after a couple of days. I cant thank Liam enough for my treatment so far. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Special mention to Gina (fabulous and calming Dental Therapist) and Kate on reception (always so happy and friendly no matter how scared I look). I have now transferred my dental care fully as I dont feel I could trust anyone else. I actually dont dread my dental appointments now! Thank you Liam and all at McGrath Dental.

Really like the way the dentists talk you through everything they are doing so you are kept fully informed throughout.I have been treated by Emma and Gina so far and both have been great.
I have been treated by Liam McGrath, at various times over a period of about 15years (including implants and bone reconstruction) and have every confidence in his general dentistry and in particular his specialist expertise and knowledge. Liam has always been open honest and approachable and given me advice based on my best interests both in terms of treatment options and cost implications. I have always found him to be considerate patient and kind, able to put me at ease, even during some pretty intensive treatments. Having extensive treatment with a dental phobia is a challenge but happy to say my panic reduced to mild apprehension and, whilst I would still prefer a spa day, check ups and hygienist appointments are as pleasant as they can be. In terms of the whole practice this review is also positive because all staff are welcoming and helpful and, to me, they seem happy in their work which creates a nice atmosphere right from meeting reception staff through to practitioners. There is a good vibe and it seems a lot of thought has gone into the layout and decor and it works well. Whilst impeccably clean its not overly clinical which makes for a more relaxed environment. I work in NHS and its not easy to get a good balance in this way, by making patients feel confident and safe in treatment but also comfortable and welcomed. I would highly recommend this practice to family and friends and Liam would be my first choice for specialist treatment. MBJ
Never had a dentist experience like this. Danielle and Becky were really friendly and professional detailing what they were doing and why, all the way through the work. Incredibly thorough clean and filling using many different instruments and techniques that Ive never had before. Pain free from start to finish and delighted with the outcome. Would highly recommend.
